Mitchell A. Freed, CPA
Mitchell A. Freed, CPA is a co-founding Partner of T&F Certified Public Accountants, LLC. He currently holds position of Managing Partner in the firm and focuses primarily on attestation, tax and consulting services for nonprofit trade associations and charitable organizations. He oversees the firm’s Nonprofit Advisory Group, and administers quality control standards for attestation, tax and accounting matters in the firm. Mr. Freed has over 19 years of experience performing attestation, tax and consulting for nonprofit organizations. He regularly consults with the firm’s nonprofit clients on a variety of issues including strategic planning, budgeting, unrelated business income tax, and other governance and operational issues which affect nonprofits.
Mr. Freed is a graduate of the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He is currently licensed by both the Virginia and Maryland Boards of Accountancy, and regularly exceeds the profession’s annual forty hour continuing professional education requirement each year, where he focuses much of his effort on nonprofit and government organizations.

Maryam A. Tavakoli, CPA
Maryam A. Tavakoli, CPA is a co-founding Partner of T&F Certified Public Accountants, LLC. She currently holds position of Partner in the firm and focuses primarily on accounting and consulting services for nonprofit trade associations and charitable organizations. She manages and performs nonprofit engagements; providing consultation, accounting and audit services. She has worked exclusively in the area of nonprofit for the past 13 years.
Ms. Tavakoli is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland where she graduated with honors (cum laude standing), and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is currently licensed by both the Virginia and Maryland Boards of Accountancy, and regularly exceeds the profession’s annual forty hour continuing professional education requirement each year, where she focuses much of her effort on nonprofit organizations.
